On feeling good, and having MORE than one option in your kitty ...
I woke up today feeling GREAT.
At around 1230 in the aftenoon, after not being “able to sleep” until about 6 AM in the morning, hehe.
Actually it wasn't that I couldn't sleep.
It was that I was so worked up from my workout #2 and the awesome feeling I got from the pull-ups, that I was pacing up and down, thinking of things, and indeed my new book (which has been put on the back burner as of late, but rest assured – when the times comes, I WILL GET TO IT!).
This “morning” when I woke up, I knew something good was gonna happen.
And it did, but that isn't the point of me saying this.
I've actually written posts and emails before about “when you FEEL good, you ATTRACT good”.
And I mean really, really feel good deep down inside.
We truly attract “how we feel”.
And on that note, on to point #2.
(Although I will say, I have not come across ONE single person that “feels this good” without doing a lick of physcial activity).
Donald Trump made the famous comment about never exercising because it “depletes his batteries” but the man routintely works 20 plus hours a day at the age of 74, and moves around more than most 20 year olds do!
So you gotta take the OVERALL picture into consideration my friend. And no, Trump IS exceptional – so you can't simply take that one comment in isolation and ... make excuses for yourself!
Zero excuses my friend. Coming from yours truly who was called exceptional as well a year or so ago ... anyway, enough of my “bragging”. Hehe.
Where was I?
Ah yes. I just scrolled up and saw point #2.
That being, having more than one option in your kitty.
For the past few days, some of my customers might have noticed that one of my websites is down.
Yes, I have more than one site. I have more than two, actually! ;) And other businesses as well, mostly all online.
Years ago, in the past, these sites were all sitting on one server owned by the (by far) worst web host I've ever come across.
And my current host for the fitness websites – well – I cannot say enough good things about then. In fact, as I keep telling Peter, I try and find excuses to compliment them occasionally for no reason. They're that damned good, and they deserve it!
Ditto for the other two web hosts I use for other businesses.
Ditto for most of my other business partners.
Anyway, one of my sites is down due to a “misunderstanding” of sorts if I may call it that.
And while we're working it out, it's interesting that a customer from Google of all things noticed, and emaile dme about it.
It ain't the fitness sites, but the other busines s(one of them).
And in the past, when one site was down, they were ALL Down.
Right now, I could move the “other site” to any one of my own privately administered servers. My “own” servers really if I might say that, as that is what it is now as opposed to before ...
I have choices. I have options. And all good ones at that.
And why should that affect you, especially you the fitness guy who knows squat all about websites and such, and has no intention of “learning” (and hey, it ain't everyone's cup of tea! ;)).
Because. . .
You got it.
The SAME THING applies to fitness. Yes, I know I find a way to work that in somehow.
So shameless am I with the sales pitches that even my haters led by Bozo Scofield (even after being roundly blocked from all social media) seem to obsess about yours truly all day long and perhaps all night long as well (ugh, let's not even go there!). . .
But really.
No matter how good a fitness program or exercise is, variety is the spice of life, fitness, and is KEY.
No matter how effective a regimen, sometimes you need to change things up either due to compulsion or otherwise.
No matter how much you love pull-ups, sometimes you gotta do OTHER WORKOUTS!
And so forth. And there's the lesson of the day, or two in fact.
Enjoy! And while you're at it, be sure to pick up the pathbreaking and truly the BEST Damned fitness system out there right Here – the 0 Excuses Fitness System.
Offf I go now!
Best,
Rahul Mookerjee
PS – I was going to say “OO raaaaa”! ;-)
PS #2 – Oh, make sure to pick up the Gorilla Grip compilation right here for those of you that want REAL world grippping strength that will have them all crying “Uncle” for mercy! ;-)
PPS – We'll get the other site back up too. Patience, grasshopper. Good things come to those that WAIT! ;) (not too long, but hey...)
When that SHOE is on the other FOOT!
It BE a most satisfying feeling hehe.
And I mean that in terms of life, fitness, biz, and just about everything else you can think of.
And the satisfaction comes not from the final result so much as NOT having jumped the gun and been “impulsive before” (although I do recommend this, there is a time and place for it my friend).
What exactly do I mean?
Well, consider the following for one.
As the great Deng Xiaoping, the one and only Chinese leader I do admire despite his faults (the rest aren’t even fit to be called leaders to be quite frank) once said.
“Hide your strength, bide your time”.
And no, tom tommers. He did NOT say “to get rich is glorious”. His words were taken out of context in that regard.
And neither did he support the current shenanigans going on w.r.t. the PRC, and neither WOULD he have. In fact a speech he made to the contrary in the UN years ago pretty much says it all when he said “should China turn imperialist, then the PEOPLE of China should support the ROW in fighting against it” (I am paraphrasing – but that’s the sum and substance of it).
Anyway, what do I mean. Hehe.
What I mean is this my friend.
Let me give you an example.
Years ago, Bozo Schofield, who by dint of his silly dancing monkey job in China (while on the lam from the police) thought he “had it made”.
Between bouts of drug usage, going insane, being locked up temporarily (and kicked out on the road – literally – by friends who got tired of him taking advantage of them repeatedly – trust me – he literally took advantage in the worst way possible and then some), he found time to troll yours truly.
With racist memes and stickers. Apparently according to Bozo Scofield (his thinking which is nigh obvious) “Colored people have no place in the American South”.
Hmmm!
And this bozo over the years has been curiously following my every move, and getting his panties into a wad at just about everything I Write. Hehe.
I blocked him on social media. He gets around that block by “snooping” on my websites.
I blocked his IP. He used another. I blocked about 15 different email addresses he signe dup for when he emails me. He persists.
All this for a “one man show with no contacts”, as someone once so “adroitly” told me.
For someone “that would take 10 years to get his biz going” (as a friend told me).
For someone “with no ambition” (as another nutto once told me).
And the comment are numerous. The list of names I’ve been called is now past 900 (well past) and I look forward to hitting 1000. Not to mention I could write a BOOK on the comments themselves, and probably sell it too. Hehe.
As they say, you’re indeed defined more by your haters than those that “so called” support you while privately doing the very exact opposite …
Anyway, amidst all this, the satisfaction comes from not “living life on my own terms and enjoying it”.
Bozo Scofield’s latest claim is he’s a multimillionaire (apparently he was before he turned 40 or what not). When in actuality he doesn’t have two pennies to rub together, got kicked out of his Mama’s basement a long time, and is currently apparently in “public housing” and … ah, but need I continue?
I think NOT. LOL.
And yours truly?
I’m not a millionaire let alone multi. In fact, I’m quite far away from even selling a million books! ?
(But I’m getting there)
And to be honest, I’v never quite thought of becoming a multi-millionaire (even without the multi).
Sorry, Glyn the Bozo Scofield and all the rest who must be smacking their chops with glee at the statement above.
But it doesn’t really interest me. If it does happen, well andgood.
What interests me is my freedom, and being able to live life on my own terms as I choose.
No 50, 60, 70, or 80 hour work weeks. No silly monkey jobs. No silly jobs which you get kicked out of for stating facts as they ARE …
And certainly no mooching up to your girlfriend or SO hoping she’ll give you money for your latest beer blast (on your lonesome, if you’re Bozo Scofield) and then whining about it when she doesn’t, and getting kicked out on the road in China, and running to the cops because youre too much of a you know what to to admit you stole quite a significant sum of dough from (again) you know who…
So anyway.
The person with zero contacts, and the one that “never made it” is the one being followed, trolled and way worse.
And he’s happy about it, hehe. In fact he THRIVES on it!
And as my friend from the Marines recently told me, and he’s SPOT ON.
“Rahul, you should consider that a compliment. Obviously he feels threatened by you (they – sic)”.
And they did way back then as well. The racism only started after this Bozo Scofield got to know of ONE business of mine, hehe.
And none of this would happened if I had “tom tommed” things before they happened.
None of this would happened if I claimed to have followers before I hit the mark I’m at now (and it grows by the day – how funny eh? ?).
And so forth.
Hide your strength, bide your time.
Ignore this advice at your own peril, and YES, it applies to fitness too!
I didn’t write those books on pull-ups before I could do them myself, and how!
I didn’t write 0 Excuses Fitness before I got into the best shape of my life (and no, fat doesn’t equate to ‘strong” or “big” – sorry).
(Neither does my “strength” when I was admittedly “thick” obscure the fact I was FAT at a certain point in time – this is for a certain selective reader, or perhaps a whole bunch (I could start the name of the bunch with “L”)).
And so forth.
GET the results first, and then talk about ‘em.
As Napoleon Hill famously once said, tell the world what you’re going to do, but SHOW IT FIRST!
Actions count brah. That’s just as simple as it gets.
Take this little gem and apply it if you so choose, and watch your life start to change before your very eyes!
Last, but not least, to the person who I recently had an agreement with “not to mention” (so long as you don’t hound me) – fair enough.
But neither were your “disclosures” incidental nor were they “unintentional”.
And I’ll reveal ALL in a future email.
For now, stay tuned for the next email – contains an important tip or two about LOWER ab fat!
Best,
Rahul Mookerjee
PS – Apparently Bozo Scofield decided he’d copy my email style as well. How coincidental, eh. LOL.
PS #2 – If you’re truly interested in getting in the best shape of your life with NO excuses, then start by investing in and USING the System right HERE: https://0excusesfitness.com/0excusesfitnessystem/
(No it isn't cheap. No, I'ts not for free. No, I won't give it you at 10% of the price if you "just want to lose 10 kgs". Yada, nada schnada. You are either IN - or out - it's as simple as that, brah (sis)).
You have to take the long view
And it is TRUE.
I don’t care if youre thinking life, or fitness, or business, this applies. And how!
Recently, a friend of mine commented on a new business venture I started a couple of months ago.
Actually, I should say an “offshoot” of an existing business, really. To be honest. Pun intended. In more ways than ONE! ?
Maybe I just started doing things differently (and remember, I KEPT doing them the old way too).
“Hmm”, he noticed (best intentions at heart).
“Why do you want to change things up if they aren’t failing?” he asked curiously. “Why the new slant?”
Well, I didn’t change things I replied. I merely added a new twist to it, a new business offshoot as it were …
More potential, more opportunities.
Yesterday, this person asked me how much money I made from the “new way” and old.
Old? Its going great, I said.
“And the new way” he eagerly asked.
ZERO, I replied.
And I meant it.
That new business, or offshoot of an existing one has netted me a grand total of ZERO as yet, and probably won’t net me anything until next year, recession or not, Chinese plague or not.
You could have deflated a balloon, so disappointed he was …
Listen, my friend.
Some of the most successful businesses were started when the person starting them was at rock bottom, and then some – or during some of the worst recession or global depressions ever.
I don’t care what your situation is right now, but it boils down to this – when you really, really gotta do something you’ll either sink or swim (as a former boss of mine said).
Might sound harsh, but the tough times are what separate the doer from the dreamers my friend, and the achievers from the has beens.
And you gotta take the LONG view here.
If you’re starting a biz in the depression, for instance (such as now, which is easily the most turbulent time of our recent lives … and EASILY a time that could lead to another massive World War (despite what the nuts on the left think)), then profit?
Forgetttt about it, my friend.
Unless you’re already established, or selling something essential, it ain’t gonna happen and even then it’s dicey and up in the air.
Down the line though, slowly …
Thing is, most people don’t GET to that point.
People don’t understand that businesses that LAST make SACRIFICES, often times for YEARS that the average joker isn’t willing to make.
Note I said WILLING, not able. Everyone is able. Where there is a will, there is indeed a way. For everything!
Often times, way back in the day I had to choose between putting food on the table and keeping my businesses going.
Not an easy choice, is it?
But it’s a choice we all face when we START something, and often times down the road as well.
It’s a tough choice, my friend, but you have to make that business a priority (no, I don’t mean don’t put food on the table, but I mean, that biz has got to come before anything else).
It is only IF you have this mindset that you can progress, and eventually succeed – lasting success, not a fly by night and “rapid” success that most people hope for.
Fitness wise, same thing.
Often times, while the most rapid succeses come within days or weeks (and usually they do if you’re doing things right) … the LASTING successes come from YEARS of hard training done right.
Muscle memory comes from YEARS of hard training done right!
So does your overall conditioning, how quickly you bounce back from injuries down the year, how quickly you get back in the groove, and so forth.
There was a point I didn’t do pull-ups for ages.
Months, actually.
But when I started doing them again?
‘Twas like I had never stopped.
Sure, took me a few days to get back to 100 pull-ups per workout.
That’s a FEW DAYS to get back to something I hadn’t done for months, and something (a level) most people won’t reach in their entire LIFETIME.
Mostly for lack of real trying…. (and of course, hiding behind the big guy can’t do pull-ups silly excuses).
And so forth.
Take the long view, my friend. That’s how it works both in terms of life – and business – and relationships – and fitness – and damn near everything you dabble in!
Unless you’re Bozo Schofield, of course, but even he seems to have taken the long view to becoming the most useless and most ignored “troll of the century”, hehe. Or unless you aspire to him which I highly doubt!
Best
Rahul Mookerjee
PS – Apply for life coaching right HERE if you so choose my friend.
You have to take a side . . . or DO YOU?
As events across the globe spiral out of control and processed towards the inevitable and (to me at least) bloody obvious conclusion (and as the vast majority of people in the world, especially China seem to be preferring to go the “if we don’t talk about it it will go away on it’s own” route on this one), I gotta say one thing.
Something I’ve been saying for a while now.
Something I’ve been saying for ages, actually, and something that is nigh on crucial to success in ANY field or endavor.
That being, you gotta stop VACILLATING my friend.
No if’s, buts and maybe.
As George Bush once famously said, you’re either WITH us – or you’re against US.
He had his heart in the right place, and though his actions in Iraq for one are NOT something I support (for obvious reasons again, and even back then I didn’t support ‘em) what he said is true in times of crisis, and actually, when discussing anything important.
Way too many people right now are vacillating between offering lip service to the countries that are being directly affected by the Chinese aggression on their borders and elsewhere - - while adopting the silly and pacifist response of “we’ll continue to do business with them”.
And to me, it don’t work that way.
Thank heavens President Trump and his team don’t believe that, for one!
You simply cannot continue to support a bunch of thugs like that my friend. Every dollar spent in and on China goes back either directly or indirectly to the CCP and that’s just how it is.
Secretary Pompeo was very clear on this a few days ago too when he said the same thing, except in greater detail and was more “verbose” about it.
And in any case, I believe people will be FORCED to take a stance very soon, whether they like it or not, and the sooner they accept that reality the better it is.
Saying this, of course, has lost me more friends than gained, but that’s fine.
The few that remain are the ones I truly care about, and the ones that are worth remaining.
I was truly saddened last night by a good friends response to this entire mess last night.
He did not say one word against the CCP, the inaction by PM Modi in India, or the HIGHLY COMMENDABLE actions Trump and team have taken or anything of that nature.
All he said was the official CCP line (or something very dangerously close to it) of “we have to work together for mutual benefit”.
This floored me.
How can it work that way when one party is hell bent upon bullying the other and the entire world?
And yet, this blindingly simple concept doesn’t seem to be penetrating for a lot of people . ..
NO, you cannot separate border issues from everything else!
NO, you cannot allow Spy Way (Huawei) and other such CCP sponsored telecos to be the backbone of your infrastructure. Ditto for Chinese apps, Chinese programs etc.
We cannot discuss things in a void my friend.
And the same holds true globally.
And the sooner folks REALIZE this, the better it will be for ALL Concerned.
Thankfully, the developed world seems to be moving in exactly that direction, and I believe it is a matter of time (very soon now) before the Asia Pacific as a whole gets tired of the Chinese bullying and finally says enough is enough.
And now, fitness you ask.
OK. Let’s go there.
And let me throw a FINAL spanner into the works! ?
Fitness wise, you DO have to be on the side of the sensible, for one.
If what you’re doing right now is not working, then TOSS it regardless of what the bros tell you or regardless of what you read on the Internet.
If you’re NOT getting the results you want, well, guess what. Time to make that CHANGE!
But on that same note, do I believe that “lifting weights” (as many of you like to do) and bodyweight stuff cannot co-exist?
Nope.
Done right, they can. And the old timers did it that way with great results.
What I DO believe cannot co-exist is pumping and toning, puffing and buffing, and REAL training.
That, to me simply cannot co-exisit.
And which side of that fence you’re on, only you know – and can tell me!
Let me know! ? I’m out for now, but will be back later with more! ?
Best,
Rahul Mookerjee

“You need to be challenged”
Back when I started 0 Excuses Fitness, (blink and you’ll miss it! ?) I wrote about an old professor of mine, who I called Dr. K.
Dr K was a Math professor at college, and Math being a subject I was always good at for whatever reason and always enjoyed, I took a lot of them in college!
I think some were electives. Some were required. But even amongst the electives, I had choices, and yours truly made the choice to take Calculus 1, 2 and 3 - - and then “Discrete Math” as well on top of that.
Now, 1 and 2 were required. The rest weren’t!
Anyway, I met Dr. K when taking Calculus 2 I believe, as he was the one teaching the class.
A tall slim guy with a sense of humor that was slightly off, and a brilliant effing brain if any, as I was soon to find out as I got to know him better and talk to him!
Along with Dr B (who I’ve probably written about as well and still stay in touch with, him of “internet 101” class), he was and is one of my favorite teachers/profs ever.
And this is coming from someone who barely ever went to class . . .
. . . Anyway, those were the days of “Netscape email”.
And Dr K had this system where you could check your HW assignments online (so did Dr B! ?) and submit them without ever having to go to class (if you know how to do it, which most didn’t).
I still remember my friends sitting there scratching their heads during Calculus exams, while yours truly would guzzle down a few beers and show up late for the exam, and still ace it.
Now, that’s not something I recommend obviously! Neither the showing up late part or the beer guzzling, but hey, I was 18 at the time. Gotta do what a 18 year old gotta do! ?
Anyway, Dr K had this long ass midterm paper we were supposed to do.
“Take home” exam as it were, open book as well (strangely enough, Dr B did much the same thing during his exams – both these guys were REAL world guys, not “airy fairy” professors that teach stuff you’ll never use!).
And I took mine home.
I think it was holidays back then . . . of some sort.
I still remember Jen, a girl I knew messging me on ICQ (remember that??) and telling me “I’m going to FAIL”.
It sounded about as ominous as the words of an undertaker.
And being the exam was nothing short of BORING for me, I did a half ass job, and turned it in.
When I did so, Dr K called me up a few hours before the submission deadline.
“You can do better than this, Rahul!”
And he sent me back home with the rejoinder of “You still have a few hours to get this done, Rahul!”
Go home, and get it done – well!
And a few weeks before that, which I really should have told you before I told you this . . .
I emailed him about the status of some HW that I submitted online.
He took a while to reply (which was strange for him, as he normally replied very quickly).
And I called him up.
He said the following.
“You’ve aced it! Come and collect it when you can”
And then . . . “Are you ever going to show up for class???”
My response?
“Uh, yes, perhaps I will”.
And I did.
After class, he spoke to me at length.
“You need to be challenged, Rahul!! You don’t need to take these Mickey Mouse classes!”
And though they were anything but Mickey Mouse for the rest of the people taking them, for me they were.
He was RIGHT.
He was SPOT ON. I had done all this in high school of my own accord since I was interested in Math, and therefore college (those classes) were a frigging BREEZE for me to be honest.
And I still ended up with a 2.7 GPA, while the “muggers” and “copiers” (two different categories, don’t ask, hehe) ended up with 4.0 GPA’s.
And this morning, as I think about Dr K, his words ring out in my mind.
“You need to be challenged!”
So true, my friend. So true. And anyone that achieves anything of note needs to be challenged, big time!
That’s how my whole life has been, and this has held true WORKOUT wise as well.
From wayyyy back in the day when Brooks Kubik asked me if I was in the military when I told him about my hill climbing routines, to people calling me an ironman, strongman, and everything in between – and a lunatic as well (and of course, the 100 or so other not-so-nice names) – one things stands out.
Big time.
I need to be challenged. And I believe in challenging YOU, my customers, to become the BEST you can be, and then some!
As Charles Mitchell who should actually be at “elite” status in many regards given what he does on a daily basis workout wise once said (again, I’m parphrasing) –
“I hate workout books that don’t challenge me! I know the way you exercise, and it’s nothing but easy!”
Amen, my friend. Amen!
Best,
Rahul Mookerjee
PS – Be challenged, my friend, and be challenged to be a BETTER You. And our products will guide you every step of the way!
When times are a ROLLING easy . . . .
This morning I was reading about “PayTm” a Chinese backed Indian payments app which had surged in popularity over the past few years.
It’s apparently now (given the events of the past few months) being slowly but steadily pushed out by competitors with wallets that are equally, if not deeper as well as by the behemoth Amazon (for whatever reason, all these articles fail to mention the REAL gorilla in the room that does anything to grab customers and GETS Them – and hey – they have my vote for sure in ALL the countries I’ve used them).
Kudos Jeff Bezos – YOUR customer service is why you are where you’re at today, and that’s just the bottom line and an indisputable FACT OF LIFE!
And here is the point in me saying all this.
For years, PayTm in India was literally ROCKING.
Growing by leaps and bounds.
Company valuation increasing year by year, and money kept pouring in from Alibaba that apparently backs the app (not sure about now though).
And it wasn’t all bad. Chinese online payments have their downsides, most notably so in a country where the government scrutinizes and records everything, and its probably the only country in the world where today, you have very little, if at all, chance at DIGITAL security.
And especially when shopping. Cash is a rarity in mainland China. Big time.
And everything is done via Chinese apps like WeChat and Alipay which allow online payment and allow Xitler’s thugs to track your minutest purchases down.
Yes, they know what you ate for dinner last night and the cases of beer you ordered! ? NO, that is NOT an exaggeration my friend. Not in the least.
Anyway, online payments obviously have their upside, and PayTm was one of the first into the fray and it grew.
But these days, much like many other bloated businesses we see all over the place collapsing left right and center, PayTm is struggling big time.
Other apps have overtaken it.
And it doesn’t look to be getting back on it’s feet anytime soon. Shaky foundations anyone?
Pretty much what will happen to China as a whole, and what HAS been happening silently (and the reason for Xitler’s expansionist policies etc which even his own band of thugs are getting tired of).
And again, point of me saying this?
Well first, same thing applies to fitness. You need a solid BASE to build upon.
If you can’t pound out 100 pushups per workout, much like I teach you in the 0 Excuses Fitness System, hold a bridge for a while (or even get into position) or do squats, then you’re in NO position to do more advanced exercises like pull-ups.
Or handstand pushups.
And even if you manage to do ‘em, eventually you’ll collapse if the foundation ain’t strong enough.
Second, and more importantly.
It’s what you do when the chips are DOWN that counts my friend.
Very few people have it in in them to get up – keep getting up- and keep going.
You, me, nobody is going to hit has hard as LIFE. Life ain’t all sunshine and rainbows. The world is a very mean and nasty place out there, and it will BEAT you to your KNEES and KEEP you there if you let it. It ain’t about how hard you can hit, my friend.
It’s about how much you can take.
It’s about how hard you can GET HIT and keep moving AHEAD – without blaming others for your failures or what not!
That’s how WINNING IS DONE, and yes, I borrowed that from Sly Stallone in Rocky, a man who should know a thing or two about what is being talked about.
And again, back to fitness.
Like I said yesterday, if your only exercise is climbing hills, GREAT.
Great workout! Hey, I know that better than most people.
But what when there is no hill.
What when you have inclement weather and cannot climb?
What when your favorite gym – or swimming pool is not available?
When you’re being SQUEEZED on all possible fronts, when your back is against the wall, and then some, how do you react?
Do you come out fighting all guns blazing - - or do you lie down and let life have it’s way.
The answers to these questions could well determine where youre headed in life – and your fitness journey as well – and I should know. Oh YES, I should know!
Best,
Rahul Mookerjee
PS – My friend from the Marines, the “ruggedly strong” individual I refer to so often recently told me “you’re in rare form!”. Reminded me of what Marc the African Silverback Gorilla once told me “You’re in fine, fine fettle Rahul!’ one fine morning in bonny China . . . and while I may or may not be, fact is this – the WORKOUT routines I advocate will keep YOU in much the same condition physically and then some.
Get on the train NOW – right HERE.
We all had humble beginnings . . .
If you’re working on a goal, and your “here and now” bothers you to the point where you can’t look forward to, visualize or take action on your future, then guess what.
You’re either not cut out for success, or you’re not going to make it.
Sorry if that sounds harsh, but it’s true.
And you’re not alone either.
And you certainly are in EXALTED company as well in that nigh on everyone feels this way at a certain point or the other when working towards success at anything!
Believe me, I’m sure there were times Napoleon Hill just wanted to throw in the towel and give it all up (and he actually DID give up for a while too before being reminded of his true calling, and how!).
I’m sure Henry Ford would be the first to tell you, as Steve Jobs and Jack Ma have, that the dark days are really what teach you far more than success ever does or could.
If you don’t have the dark, there will never ever be a true dawn.
And the darker the night, the brighter the dawn my friend.
But still, despite the words, many people get frustrated.
If you’re sitting in a studio apartment with a laptop (that you bought on credit or borrowed) and that damn thing is on a table so flimsy that it’s almost crashing through, then “success” might look like a long, long way away.
But it isn’t, my friend.
The above example is from a millionaire writer and fitness guru’s life, but there are plenty such examples.
Sylvester Stallone, for instance, slept on the streets of New York for two weeks at a time where he had NOTHING, or less than it.
Ford was bankrupt twice (and no, no angel investors bailed him out either in that day and age).
And so forth.
Yet, despite all the tough times, they found it in themselves to keep going.
To keep being persistence, or should I say KEEP THE FIRES OF DESIRE AND PERSISTENCE burning within!
And we all know what the above people and many others I have not named here accomplished, don’t we?
Successful people are rarely, if ever, born with a silver spoon in their mouths.
And if they are, they HAVE been through the grinder several times and then some (Donald Trump being one prime example).
Despite Trumps family fortune, the fact is that his Dad bailed him out ONCE.
Just ONCE
And if you were take a look at the very lengthy list of failures Trump has had before finally succeeding . . . .well, you’ll know what I mean by that!
Fitness wise you ask?
Same thing.
I was NOT born genetically gifited. If anything, and I’ve stated this publicly, it’s the opposite (until this day).
I am NOT naturally strong.
I do NOT have a “naturally strong” grip. I do have a strong grip yes, but boy did I work for it and then some!
Same thing with my fitness.
At a weight of 120 kgs, which my family sometimes still giggles about, hehe (in a good natured manner, and I mean my wife and kid) turning into the fitness monster I am now seemed and probably was to all observing an impossibility.
Much like me farting and landing on the moon is . . .
But it happened, didn’t it?
While I took the actions required, the KEY is something else my friend.
It’s being willing to look beyond the here and now and see the future in your MIND BEFORE it happens.
I did that, and we all see the result.
And that applies to you as well, in ANYTHING you’re looking to do or accomplish. And I mean that!
Do we all get frustrated occasionally? Down? Depressed? IN the “fuck it all mood”?
Hell yeah.
But the point isn’t that.
That will happen.
Its about how you RESPOND To that in the long term, my friend.
If you give in, and stop DOING, then you’ll never get there.
Other hand, if you breeze past a bad day or a couple and get back to it - - business as usual - - then I think we BOTH know which direction you’re headed.
And I should know. Oh yes.
I should know, and on that note – it’s adios for now. Back soon!
Best,
Rahul Mookerjee
P.S. – Here is where you can grab the BEST damned fitness system there is out there: https://0excusesfitness.com/0excusesfitnessystem/
Die if you have to, but never say "I quit". NEVER!
I wasn't going to write about this to be honest, but with all the Pity Party Central going on, this constant back and forth with a certain whiny "Ben" I gotta really stop doing (if he knew the OTHER BEN I so admire, another cranky "bear" like me, hehe - he'd have kittens!) ...but really, Benny isn't the only culprit by far, there is WAY too much "aww poor little baby feel good" crap going on in this world today, and I'm sick and damn tired of it as I always have been. Not to mention, if there was NEVER a time for that - it is now, when cold hard deeds and ACTION - and bloody minded CUSSEDNESS - and gumption, not feel good crappy "bask in this or that glory" is required in order to WIN - and SURVIVE - more so than ever before.
You know what I just saw?
Some idiot actress whining bout being "skinny shamed" because she had to "pad up for a photo shoot".
I mean grow up lady, real men want real boobs, that was all there is to it, its a goddamned business is the move industry, it ain't Pity Party Central now is it.
I wont name her here, in fact I would but I cannot recall her name to be honest.
Then of course the phat phocks and their sob stories of "inane justifications for not being phat but "big"". I've debunked this crap enough times, logically, emotionally, every other way possible, they know it, I know it, the world keeps revolving, and so forth ...
Then of course all the nonsense about "say I loooooooooooooooooove you" and so forth ...
I mean, all of that is great but it does not replace action, neither does it by itself rectify shortcomings either personally or business wise which are FACTS. Everyone has a sob story and pity party, but when it comes down to brass tacks, few "really" DO.
(speaking of which, I just asked Gorilla Girl to send me some of her ... I hate to say it, but I will, "cleavage". Hehe. She says she's put on more weight, I'd love to see it! Hehe).
Anyway .... before the Nazi fems jump on me (Sophia just ignored me in her girlish manner, hehe).
(which is fine, I love the games she plays)
... where was I?
Ah yes, this pity party central shit.
Look, to me, growing up, I've had plenty of reasons to want "pity" - more so than the average Bubba sitting around drinking beer whining about "how tough it's gotten" would in a lifetime.
If I had - and sometimes I did - I got hit with more shit.
Which if you think about it, pity attracts pity, not something "good" per se. Like attracts like.. Bozos attract Bozos, success attracts .. well, more of it and trolls ... and so forth.
But anyway, I've always been one for the "bring it!" sort of attitude.
"Let me tell you something, Jack" a sneering Mickey Rourke goes in Get Carter, fighting with a half amped Stallone.
"You're going to end up like a one legged man in an ass kicking contest".
"Your brother, your precious brother Richie was no goddamned saint. Everyone's into something, Jack, plain and simple! He got drunk, he wrapped his sorry ass around a tree, end of story. NOw you still wanna do this little dance for old times sake, Jack? Then BRING IT!"
And he truly ends Jack Carter's sob story there. Hehe.
I like the movie, but I loved the original too - the original movie "Get Carter" - a hard ass looking for revenge in that one, no pity parties there for sure! BRUTAL! And he ends up that same way too - shot in the head by the sea ...
Anyway - I've also been a huge advocate of the "if you can take it FIRST - and take it a lot of times - you can THEN dish it out".
To dish it out, you have to be able to take it - multiple times.
I still remember Marc's punch SMOKING Off my left pec (he's a damn good boxer by the way) - snake's tongue. Hehe.
"You're a man, you can take it!" was what he said. hehe.
I knew I could, but still! (later on I asked him if he really gave it his all, I knew he had given it about 80% hehe - and his reply when I said "you probably didnt really hit hard" -
"No, I clocked you pretty hard back there!"
And thats good. Hehe. )
And a lot of idiots think what I write is "one sided", favors me and so forth.
Maybe, but it's also TRUE.
Here's the thing - I've been torn a new one plenty of times, but I have not whined about it one single time.
I've reverse torn x 10 these people a new one when the situation warrants, when it often does.
As Marc once said -
"You'll tear them apart!"
True.
He was also the guy who once said "you're acting like such a loser I dont even know where to begin".
Maybe I was. So I never argued that point. (he was just sending me directions "off the top of my head", I was going to write them down, didnt have the time or inclination right then or what not .. and well, that misunderstanding then occured).
I was having a rough, rough day - and I've always been one for whom directions - I WRITE things down - I'm the guy who back in the day drove around with reams of "mapquest.com" (remember those days?/) even if the directions sometimes ended up wrong i.e. "drive over a cliff or into the sea", hehe - and he was wanting me to meet him someplace, I was pre-occupied, and well, maybe he was right.
Maybe I did sound kinda whiny in my reply to him.
John Walker, a great customer of mine once made the comment about "I have to say something very difficut to you, but you look FAT!"
I've written about that publicly before too, and at the time he said it - well, he was RIGHT.
"Glad to see you take it like a man Rahul , you never know how people will respond!" was what he said (again, I'm not going to elaborate on that one yet again here, I just bring it up to give you a BALANCED viewpoint of how I do things) ...
Hey.
To me, if someone is brutally honest - and he's given me SUPERLATIVE (and TRUE) reviews for so many of my books that I so deeply appreciate (because they're heartfelt and TRUE) - then he's got the right to be as brutally frank and hand out an ass kicking (figuratively) when the situation demands it too. Hehe. Simple as that.
Goose and gander, if a certain Benny is reading this, you'll understand what I mean now Ben.
Aint nothing personal, just the way it is!
Funnily enough most of the people I consider my friends - are bigger, stronger, and better in SOME regard than I am.
I wouldn't associate with people that aren't better than me - I'm always looking to LEARN.
I'm better in some regards, but physically, a lot of these dudes have skills that I dont have (and probably never will).
My buddy from the Marines, fighting him is like going up against a T 72 - or the Abrams Tank - what have you.
Marc, the African Silver back Gorilla sometimes reminds me of a charging, angry rhino ... Hehe. (I doubt you'd want to tangle with him in that mood!)
And so forth.
To me, its about never giving up.
NEVER saying I quit.
Remember that iconic Steve Austin Bret Hart Match?
Steve never quit, and a legend was made, bleeding, limping, he walked back (I still think Bret is a FAR superior wrestler, but Steve got it made there, kayfabe or not!)
Thats basically how I live.
Knock me down, I'll take it.
If you give me pain, I'll take it x 10.
If I can't react now, I wont - but I wont forget it either.
And so forth.
Bottom line, you wont hear me say I quit - or I give up - or anything of that nature. You certainly wont hear me whine about it, and if some comments are warranted, even if they show me in a somewhat poor light, I'll go to the ends of the world to point 'em out - much like I would if they weren't warranted.
I dont hide who I am.
Phat pictures are there on my site for a reason.
To motivate YOU, simple as that.
But I can only motivate DOERS, true doers - it has to FIRST come from within YOU.
Keep going, pick yourself up YET again, and keep going has always been my motto, always will be.
And THAT is something most of you need to hear TODAY, not the mamsy pamsy sob stories "emotional crap" people so love to tell you.
Toughen up.
MAN THE FUCK UP!
Man up, nikka. (Alonzo, hehe).
Anyway ...........
The thing people keep babbling on about "saying good things and so forth".
To me, I've always been one for the "actions speak louder than words" mentality.
Look, I've always agreed with what Emerson said about "if your work affects even one person positively and they remember you well, consider it job well done".
I think Jeff Bezos has that quote (Emerson said it far more eloquently than me, hehe) - pasted on his fridge "sticky note". Jeff didnt do too badly for himself did he?
"General" Michael said it best about our work on Dongguan Expat too.
"The guys processing our visas dont know this, Rahul!"
(he was referring to the work we did together on there, work that benefits people TILL this day, and that was in 2003...)
When I started the business, hell, even these days when I write new books, THAT thought is uppermost.
Sure, I'd love for it to sell big time, most of my books do, but even if it helps ONE person ... I'd feel great about it!
"I'm 63. This one exercise has made me feel better than anything else I've ever done!'
(Pushups - Reverse Pushups - the best darn exercise out there!)
"You motivate thousands daily!" (I got that in 2020).
And so forth.
To me, DOING is what its about.
Daniela, a Spanish lady that translates for me asked me for a recommendation, I gave it to her, I had no inkling if it would help or not.
A month or so later, she got a new job, and she's BUSY with it - and that recommendation DID help.
You won't hear me crowing or Tom Tomming that.
But I helped the girl out, thats what counts (to me).
ACTIONS!
Perhaps Paula, a lady that has done just superb work for me in the past and continues to to this date on the other business says it the best ...
Congratulations Mike! You are a man who while you appear to be weak, you
are totally strong in reality and with that you have them all the time, without them
realizing it.Dear readers! If you want to be like Mike it is. Do as they say “Follow the leader”,
“Just do it”.
And I wrote about that before … (remember, she said “Just do it” without knowing this was the tagline I use HERE on this business. Truly a case of thoughts TRANSMUTING!)
Anyway .. more on that here - https://0excusesfitness.com/2022/07/21/more-on-true-and-real-leadership/.
But I wanted to talk about this a bit, I wanted to say it because THIS is the sort of thing everyone needs to be hearing these days, not the mamsy pamsy feel good flimsy crap that doesnt last.
DO you have it in you ?
CAN you do it?
Sink or swim, my friend, there is no other way out. Brutal, but true.
Anyway ...
Time to pimp the 0 Excuses Fitness System before I end this one.
And that is that.
Back soon.
Best,
Rahul Mookerjee
Why leaders remain LEADERS - and followers remain FOLLOWERS.
There isn't anything necessarily wrong with being on the other side of the spectrum either. The vast majority of the people in the world are just that, followers!
Hey, takes all types. And leaders would have no-one to lead without the followers.
Where would 0 Excuses be without the famous Ship for that matter. hehe.
(but it's true - no kidding there!).
Without a bunch of devoted, almost fanatical followers who will buy what you have to sell, who will promote you for free, even without trying to, give you glowing testimonials, hang on to your every word - well, all of that might sound a bit "cultish" and dictatorial or "fealty" to you.
Truth being told?
All successful businesses have droves of these people with them.
And all successfull businesses know how to sell to them.
It's funny, these days I keep reading about how "Trump doesnt own MAGA", or how GOP Primary Elections: Results Show Trump's MAGA Movement Isn't All About Him - Bloomberg - "it isn't all about Trump", and Trump isn't God, or so forth.
Funny part is they're marketing him without even trying to or wanting to. Hilarious!
I had to restrict myself to this on Twitter...
People truly GET it so LATE. Hehe. Thats why leaders remain leaders, and followers remain followers. Obviously he doesnt own the "brand", he said it like it is, exploited feeling like any canny marketer, myself most def. included should - all there is to it!
I can just hear ole Donald cackling away with that canny look ...
Hey.
Trump never claimed to be God, or even believe in it. (or "him", or "her", or the concept).
Trump, I suspect would agree with me on Universal Energy and not believing in the concept of God.
And I dont know anywhere where he said he "owned" Maga, or trademarked it or what not...
It is simply people looking to profit off his name and popularity- which I always predicted would "vain" (hehe) to a degree given he was removed from Twitter (unfairly) - but more importantly - well, people have short memories.
If you were to ask him, and indeed, someone DID ask him - what if you dont win (in 2020).
Touchy subject I know that with the Trumpinator... but he simply replied "ok, so I'll do something else".
Which is what I'd expect from Trump i.e. an honest straight answer, and he gave it, and he's doing just that now i.e.
something else.
I've predicted for years the base would move on - it was common sense, no-one believed me.
Certain people like a certain Ricky still think "No-one can pull a crowd like Trump does!"
Not true, my friend.
Ron De Santis is one that can.
And if he were to do it, my man for the next Presidency, Mike Pompeo could probably pull the biggest group of them all that truly matter - the rational right.
And I dont mean the rabid sort either...
I mean the RATIONAL AND THINKING SORT!
We attract as we are, my friend. This holds true no matter what.
Anyway .........
Ive predicted so many things years in advance (such as the major war fixing to happen which people still laugh at me when I mention it as if it "can't happen to them" except now it's a laugh which speaks "I wish I could avoid it, but I can't, so might as well pretend it doesnt exist" - nah, newsflash, folks sticking your head in the sand aint how its done - unless your Bozo "Cuck in London" Schofield (he's got pictures of himself trying to touch his fat little toes on Twitter, to show his "you know what". Ugh!) -- - things which people laugh at, say could never happen, yet, down the line they do.
Things that are basic common sense to me - spur of the moment - take people light years to even begin to grasp.
And that, my friend - if you've been paying attention is how you spot a leader in any field who cannot be kept down for long, and Trump remains one of them.
Yours truly does too, of course, I'm sure someday you'll have people complaining "hes not the God of pushups".
Or isometrics.
Or pull-ups.
Or what not/
Hey.
I never claimed to, and am ultra - pun intended - liberal - in terms of giving credit, I probably give more than it's due, but whatever.
As Marc, the African Silverback Gorilla once said...
It comes back to me!
True dat, friend. We all get on the roundabout (Michael!).
Speaking of which that silly thing they've got going on about how guns should be restricted - glad to see that fail today!
And what goes around comes around, so yeah, I'm sure I'll have people at some point telling me that, and then I'll direct them to THIS post.
Alrighy, enough tom tomming for now.
Get your hands on the 0 Excuses Fitness System NOW - truly makes leaders out of men (and women).
In all ways possible!
Best,
Rahul Mookerjee
No-one cares, my friend...
Or, I could say, the hidden side of self-help - but a very necessary dark side indeed that nobody out there is willing to bring to you - except me.
And I wouldn't say it, but several of the whiny form entries I'm getting on the coaching page ... well, let me just say a lot of those have prompted me to say what I am now!
In short - my friend - if you're aiming at something - if you're frustrated - if you're not getting where you wanna be - and so forth - and the thing that "gets you the most" is "no-one notices or no-one cares", well, then I've already told you about the values and virtues of vision, persistence, gumpton, sales and marketing and so forth ...
... but what I didnt tell you is this, my friend.
No-one freaking cares.
Get used to it.
It's a fact of life.
It's how humans are wired.
And it's especially applicable (me saying this these days) as its something the veritable barrage of mostly armchair self help gurus wil NEVER tell you.
They'll post glitzy photos of themselves showing plenty of skin, usually tanned bronze like they were yoga contestants, hehe, or on some movie inspired vacation with their best make up on saying ... " do it on your own time!"
To the hustlers that contact them after hours, they'll whine about "family is most important", or "take time out for your mental health" and other such airy fairy feel good BS and garbage which has NO impact in the real world.
Oddly enough, one of the people posting tripe such as this sleeps with her phone in hand when she's doing a new project!
The hypocrisy and foolishness, my friend, is beyond belief at times.
I wont name her here.
But it's just a case of getting more clicks for their own business etc is what these people are aiming at - not any real self help. If it was the latter, the focus would be on TALK - heavy talk - not all the garbage videos and pictures!
Not to mention, motivation works best when it comes from someone thats been in the trenches and shares their real story - the nitty gritties - the unsexy parts - and so forth - parts that I share, for instance, that most wouldn't dream of sharing on their sites to their lists etc.
I do because ... its REAL LIFE!
Real success, my friend, involves something NO-ONE has ever wanted to talk about, even less so now.
Plague or no plague, good economy or bad - there are two things constant -
One, The GRIND as Mike Pompeo calls it in his new venture.
You can call it the har dyards.
the slog.
Call it what you like, but ditching it in favor of airy fairy rubbish of "weekends are for meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee" aint gonna get you any closer to your goal - likely the opposite. Perhaps if you've already got to where you want to be, you can structure some flexibility into your routine ie. you own your biz, not the other way around so much, but before that - it'll always be a grind, and even after that if youw anna STAY on top!
I cannot tell you the number of people that have risen - gotten complacent - and fallen again to greater depths.
Yours truly very proudly ranks in that sort too! (at various points in my life thus far).
But the grind, my friend is unavoidable, and the ONLY PATH to success. There is nothing else leading to lasting and long term success!
And two -no-one cares.
Lets face it, friend.
thats how we are wired as humans, to look for "whats in it for me".
SO unless you MAKE your business, your life, whatever you do something that Impacts your target audience positively, guess what - your struggles or not, your up times, downtimes, no times, zero times, hehe - no-one CARES.
That may sound especially galling to some reading this.
"He's rubbing it in " they might say.
Well.
So am I, I suppose. But it needs to be!
EVERYONE is in it for themselves my friend.
My old bosses - Uncle J and the lot. Yours truly. You. Me. Donald Trump. Ultimately, we're ALL wired to function that way!
And those that understand it quicker, the better off they are!
More -
You talk about people not caring, eh.
Well, it's well known that the Trumpinator for one picked up the plague from China in 2020.
You know that.
But did you know that while Trump was roundly ridiculed for doing the sensible thing i.e precautions but not succumbing to panic, that privately despite his campaign never saying it - he was actually in bad shape there for a while ?
He was truly havin trouble breathing etc.
True, he pulled through.
He's a fighter - always will be!
But not for once did he allow his focus to waiver from the goal i.e. the elections at hand.
Till date, he hasn't pissed, whined, or moaned up a storm about this silly thing ... and neither should he!
He understands one thing very well.
"No-one cares!"
Thats the sort of positive attitude YOU need my friend - when times are down - bleak - tough.
THOSE are the guys that eventually make it through to solid greener pastures - and succeed!
Fitness wise, same thing - tough times? Pushups too tough? Feeling exhausted and run down?
Often times, you have to just push through it!
Much like most of my other advice, this sort of thing ain't sexy - and no-one wants to hear it.
They're rather the airy fairy garbage the self help clowns spout.
Fitness wise, they'd rather the "easy make me feel good" fitness books.
So be it.
Yours truly - well, thats one reason as I've said before, hehe, that I'm not as rich as Jeff Bezos as yet, LOL.
But seriously.
I'll never stop giving it to yo ustraight.
It's what I'm known for everywhere, and I dont plan on changing!
Alright, enough for now.
Be sure and pre-order Lumberjack "Lodestone" fitness HERE.
And I'll see you soon!
Best,
